3d immersive audio basics
The workshop covers a general introduction to the world and possibilities of wave field synthesis and ends with hands-on exploration for creating and emitting sound as autonomous objects, which then can be moved freely in space.
What will attendees of the workshop learn?
A location with a setup of 24 speakers will be our auditive laboratory and playground.
In this first session of our two-part immersivvvve audio workshop attendees will learn about the hardware and software setup, different formats and standards, and how to use it for sound applications and how to think audio object based.
After a technical introduction and some listening examples, we will start with hands-on and explore sound in space.
